Cheerleading Tryout Information for the 2025-2026 Season!
Tryout Clinics
April 9-11, 2025 from 4:30-6p
It's essential to arrive punctually on each day. Please, bring your signed handbook agreement form and a copy of your current physical.
During these sessions, you can expect to:
Learn Choreography: Graduating seniors will teach chants, cheers, and band dances that candidates need to perform during tryouts.
Demonstrate Skills: Showcase your tumbling, stunting, and jumping abilities.
Wear appropriate game-day-ready attire (White Fitted Tank Top or T-Shirt that covers your stomach. Black or Maroon Shorts that cover your entire backside appropriately. Proper undergarments' (i.e. no showing bra straps). Hair pulled into a pony tail, out of your face with no wispies, and a cheer bow facing the back and make-up done).
Attendance is mandatory, and these clinics are closed to spectators to maintain focus.
Tryout Day

Perform Learned Material: Execute the chants, cheers, and band dances that were taught during clinics.
Showcase Individual Skills: Display personal strengths in tumbling, stunting, and jumps.

Important Dates
It is important for the student to be available on these dates. Permission must be obtained from the coach in advance if the student cannot fulfill this obligation.
Pre-Tryout Meeting: Tuesday, April 1st at 6:30p in the Aux Gym
Tryout Clinics: April 9th, 10th, and 11th from 4:30-6p in the Aux Gym
Tryouts: Saturday, April 12th starting at 9a in the Aux Gym
Uniform Fitting (Fall and Winter Cheerleaders): April 25th
Fundraiser (Fall and Winter Cheerleaders): May 3rd
Parade (Fall and Winter Cheerleaders): July 4th
Summer Camp (Fall and Winter Cheerleaders): July 7-11th at OSU
